Watching astronomical objects at the Pomeroy Planetarium can be fun for the entire family. Part of the Turner Neal Museum of Natural History, it is located on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM). Built in 1977, the Pomeroy Planetarium is one of only four in the state and is used extensively by astronomy students. The general public can also enjoy the regularly organized programs and presentations.
Since UAM faculty is responsible for the planetarium, there may be short periods during the day when the building is not open. Groups are welcome and are encouraged to schedule visits in advance.
