Southeast Arkansas Concert Association

Founded in 1976 and located at the University of Arkansas-Monticello, Fine Art Center, 371 University Drive.

Bringing the arts to Southeast Arkansas since 1976, the SEARK Concert Association serves seven counties – Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Lincoln – in the Southeast Arkansas area with high quality, engaging performance arts opportunities and experiences.

SEARK Concert Association annually provides three or more performing arts groups to the general population including children, senior citizens, and students. Special performances for children have been presented in schools as often as possible. Emphasis is on family fare varied programming from classical to contemporary including areas of dance, music, opera, theatre, and from one person to full orchestra grouping. We have also included local talent to appear during our annual performances. Past performances have included: Lion King Junior, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Fiddler on the Roof and concerts from contemporary artist.

Season events are held at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) Fine Arts Center and feature performances in dance, theater and music. A yearly highlight of the season is SEARK’s community theater musical, involving community members of all ages in a well-loved show.

SEARK also engages each county’s community through the SMARTS program which enhances the school district’s curriculum with age appropriate and inspirational events.

Information on performances can be found online or through Facebook or Instagram platforms.
